Description
The balcony road D902 leads from Guillestre in the south-west via Maison du Roy to Château Queyras in the north-east. The total length of about 17 km always leads along the river Guil, whose course forms the Gorge du Guil in the lower part and the Combe du Queyras in the upper part. The road is well maintained and easy to drive. The gorge is located in the Cottian Alps and there in the Queyras Regional Natural Park. In addition, the fortifications of Mont-Dauphin in Guillestre and Fort Queyras are worth seeing. The gorge is located in the department of Haute-Alpes and there in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
This route belongs to the so-called "French Balcony Roads".
