Description
The road over the Col des Champs connects the western village of Colmars in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department with the eastern village of Saint-Martin-d'Entraunes in the Alpes-Maritimes department. A pass height of 2083 meters is overcome. The western approach is the D2 road, which leads up the mountain in numerous switchbacks. The road is narrow and runs mostly in wooded areas, making the drive a bit confusing. Overall, however, the road is easy to drive on with due caution. In the upper part, the road gets a little worse. In several places, very deep bumps are built in for better drainage of rainwater. The Col des Champs pass is located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
