Description

The balcony road D915 leads from west to east always on the north side of the river Sioule for about 9.5 km through the Gorges de Chouvigny. Equivalently, the name Gorges de la Sioule is also used for this gorge. The road starts in the west at the village of Le Pont de Menat, which derives its name from an ancient and interesting Roman bridge that can be found just a few 100 meters south of the modern road bridge. The trail leads east on a well-maintained road and ends just past the village of Saint-Gal-sur-Sioule, where the road turns north and leaves the river. The road is located in the department of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and there in the region of Allier.

This route belongs to the so-called "French Balcony Roads".
